This is the classic example of impulse buyers regret. I was racing part-time with my brother out at LVMS and we co-owned a racecar and split driving time. We worked our way up through the racing classes, finally landing in the Super Lates. I came into a little money and decided it would be a good idea to get a car built for me so I could race out of my home track at Irwindale, CA instead of commuting to Las Vegas.
So I enlisted Teammotorsports out of Las Vegas to build me a car and deliver Turn-Key to me in California. I originally purchased car for $25,000 and had a lot of upgrade parts thrown into the engine, best of everything (though I couldn't tell you what that means). I was only able to race at Irwindale a few times due to a hectic TV work schedule, a new marriage and a baby on the way.
Car was raced at Irwindale for 3 races in 2008. Car was then garaged when work family to New York City for 5 years. When I came back, Irwindale Speedway had been closed down. Thought about racing up at Bakersfield or back at Las Vegas, but the travel was too much with new-born daughter. Now we are starting a house re-model and need to liquidate the toys. Also have a Honda VTX 1800R Cruiser for sale as well.
Motivated to sell, Plans are submitted to the city of Burbank Planning and Building, wife is anxious to clear the garage and convert it to a guest house. What can I say, life happens.
Call me with any questions. I likely will not know much as I am not a gear-head and only drove the car. If you are really motivated to buy I can let you talk to my brother Greg. He was involved with the Teammotorsports build and he is still currently racing out at Bakersfield in his own car.
Hope this information helps. It'll be nice to see it put to good use and not be used as a party conversation piece.
Engine will obviously need to be refreshed, but oil has been changed and fuel cell drained and filled with fresh gas.
